Sensitive Data

Project Overview

The infographic must include an understanding the value of information structure, document security, and client privacy. Use typography, images, media (if applicable), and contextual information to visually condense the information regarding information security so that those who see the infographic can use the graphical and contextual information you provide them to come away understanding the most important aspects.

Design Process

I primarily looked at a variety of infographic design regarding network security and studied the effective. The problem was cramming in all the data without information overload. Additionally, the design must be visually appealing since the objective is mostly data.

I started sketching some ideas of what the infographic would look like and decided with a blue background since this color usually represents trust and intelligence. I picked a sans-serif font with the color yellow because it complemented the background while highlighting the key points of the infographic.

The images and icons were created using Adobe Illustrator but edited using Adobe Photoshop. I decided on vector images instead of raster because I wanted to make sure that they can be scaled without losing quality. Lastly, the final product was created using Adobe InDesign.

Conclusion

The final product was well received and praised by my professor and colleagues. I believe I succeeded in illustrating the main topic of the infographic without bombarding the audience about data and security information. I would not change anything to further enhance this artifact.
