Project Overview

Client desperately needed to update her traditional resume and wanted a more traditional look to ensure that she grabs the attention of her future employers.

Summary

Developed an attractive and memorable infographic resume for the client. Provided icons for the side bar and utilized lighter background colors and images to reduce any white space.

Design Process

Although the client wanted an infographic resume, she wanted some traditional aspect in the design.

I placed the client's headshot and information in Adobe InDesign and changed the format to CMYK. Next, I created a "flowery" border in Adobe Photoshop and embedded it around the resume so that it stands out from the rest of the applicants. However, the background color and images must be subtle to ensure that the clients work history and contact information are readable. Each icon for the sidebar was created by using Adobe Illustrator and followed the same color scheme. Lastly, I added padding inside each text boxes in order to evenly separate the content.

Conclusion

Although I believe that the overall design is too "girly"; I would not change anything in this design since the client was thrilled with the final product and used it right away.
