Summary
Took the initial flyer and re-designed it to make it more appealing and professional looking. Created and designed the logo close to what the client already created. Provided additional royalty-free pictures and background images to ensure that the flyer is noticable and attractive.
Design Process
I loaded up Adobe Illustrator and created the logo for the business. I did not want to re-design a brand new logo since the client wanted to keep the look and feel of the initial design. The primary design that the client created only had a couple of pictures that she took online. I decided to find other royalty-free images to use for the flyer and since the point of this project was to entice and attract customers, the pictures also needed to be appealing.
Once I collected all of the pictures I needed to finish the project. I opted to use a southern color scheme, which is a combination of gold and brownish colors. For the font, I wanted the customers to be able to read the content, so I decided to use a sans-serif font. Lastly, the flyer needed to be perfectly aligned, meaning the main content must to be larger and horizontally and vertically centered.
Conclusion
The client absolutely loved the design and stated that she could not wait to post it around the office. I personally, loved the color scheme and unity throughout the flyer. If permitted, however, I would change the opacity of the header and footer images so that the font color would stand out more than the background.
