Project Overview
The design projects are for a company called MW Law Services and they want the designer to create an advertisement for their social media website. The advertisement should have an eye-catching headline that is no more than 25 characters. The advertisement should contain a law-related graphic (please find a public domain graphic to use). The image size should be 1,200 x 628 pixels with no more than 20% of the image covered in text. The ad text body (no more than 90 characters) should entice graphic designers to consider MW Law Services for their intellectual property needs. You may create the ad in any program of your choice as long as it is one of the Adobe products (i.e., Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).

Summary
Designed a social media advertisement and Facebook banner graphic for the mock company entitled "MW Law Services" utilizing a minimalistic yet professional design. This project was for my Multimedia Design and Development course at DeVry University.
Design Process
Much like MW Law Services Facebook banner, I decided to create this social media advertisement graphic with minimalistic design in mind because I did not want to overload the audience with useless information. In fact, I e-mailed and asked my professor if I could remove the advertisement text since I believe the graphic did not need it and the text could be added in the actual post.
The design initially had the client offering his "idea" to the lawyer to ensure that he or she was protected by their services. However, as enticing as that image would have been, I decided to scrap it and have the client holding his idea instead. This design was primarily because the initial plan was too confusing and too convoluted. Once I added in the courthouse background, I changed the color and lighting of the client's shirt to make it darker to ensure that the lightbulbs light glow is noticeable. I made another layer solely for the bulb and adjusted the brightness, hue, saturation, and vibrancy. For the finishing touches and to make sure that the audience understands the advertisement, I created another layer for the "idea" text and warped it so that the text looks like it belongs with the image.
Conclusion
My colleagues praised both the Facebook banner and social media advertisement images for its design and professional look. However, if I had more time to edit this advertisement, I would place the client in front of the border because this needs to be the focus of the design, along with the text, of course.
