Summary
Designed a Facebook banner and social media advertisement graphic for the mock company entitled "MW Law Services" utilizing a minimalistic yet professional design. This project was for my Multimedia Design and Development course at DeVry University.
Design Process
First and foremost, the requirements for this design is obsolete since most banners nowadays require the size of at least 1920px to ensure that there is no quality loss when resizing the graphic. Additionally, logos and or icons for FaceBook pages were moved to the left of the page, so it is no longer covering a part of the banner. However, I still followed the ruleset and sketched out the banner. I knew I wanted the banner and social media advertisement graphic to have a similar color scheme (blue and yellow), layout, and design.
As for the design itself, I decided to create a minimalistic banner since I did not want to overload the graphic with distracting images. I did, however, add smaller icons for the various contact information to ensure that visitors of this mockup company can conveniently find them. Lastly, I needed models for the banner and decided to use graphics from Pexels and PNGTree. I removed the background to make sure that both pictures looked seamless.
Conclusion
If not for the requirements, I would update this banner and move the contact information more towards the left side since it looks off without the logo covering that part of the graphic. However, my colleagues praised the professional look and appreciated that the banner was not bombarded with unnecessary information. The graphic is clean and on point.
